Lyrics: 1 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation! O my soul, praise him, for he is your health and salvation! Come, all who hear; now to his temple draw near, join me in glad adoration. 2 Praise to the Lord, above all things so wondrously reigning; sheltering you under his wings, and so gently sustaining! Have you not seen all that is needful has been sent by his gracious ordaining? 3 Praise to the Lord, who will prosper your work and defend you; surely his goodness and mercy shall daily attend you. Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, if with his love he befriends you. 4 Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him! All that has life and breath, come now with praises before him. Let the Amen sound from his people again; gladly forever adore him. Worship and Rejoice, 2003

O Worship the King all glorious above

Author: Robert Grant Meter: 10.10.11.11 Appears in 1,142 hymnals Topics: God the Father God in Nature; God the Father His Majesty and Power Lyrics: 1 O worship the King all-glorious above, O gratefully sing his power and his love: our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days, pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise. 2 O tell of his might and sing of his grace, whose robe is the light, whose canopy space. His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form, and dark is his path on the wings of the storm. 3 Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite? It breathes in the air, it shines in the light; it streams from the hills, it descends to the plain, and sweetly distills in the dew and the rain. 4 Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail, in you do we trust, nor find you to fail. Your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end, our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend! 5 O measureless Might, unchangeable Love, whom angels delight to worship above! Your ransomed creation, with glory ablaze, in true adoration shall sing to your praise! Psalter Hymnal, (Gray)

Author: Maltbie D. Babcock Meter: 6.6.8.6 D Appears in 316 hymnals Topics: God the Father in Nature; God the Father Sovereignty Lyrics: 1 This is my Father's world, And to my listening ears All nature sings, and round me rings The music of the spheres. This is my Father's world: I rest me in the thought Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas-- His hand the wonders wrought. 2 This is my Father's world: The birds their carols raise, The morning light, the lily white, Declare their Maker's praise. This is my Father's world: He shines in all that's fair; In the rustling grass I hear Him pass, He speaks to me everywhere. 3 This is my Father's world: O let me ne'er forget That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet. This is my Father's world: Why should my heart be sad? The Lord is King: let the heavens ring! God reigns; let earth be glad! Amen. Scripture: Job 38:7 Used With Tune: TERRA BEATA

O My Soul, Bless God the Father

Hymnal: Celebrating Grace Hymnal #44 (2010) Meter: 8.7.8.7 Topics: God the Father Redeemer Lyrics: 1 O my soul, bless God the Father; all within me bless His name; bless the Father, and forget not all His mercies to proclaim. 2 Who forgives all your transgressions, your diseases all who heals; who redeems you from destruction, who with you so kindly deals. 3 Far as east from west is distant, He has put away our sin; like the pity of a father has the Lord's compassion been. 4 As it was without beginning, so it lasts without an end; to their children's children ever shall His righteousness extend. 5 Unto such as keep His covenant and are steadfast in His way; unto those who still remember His commandments and obey. 6 Bless the Father, all His creatures, ever under His control, all throughout His vast dominion: bless the Father, O my soul.
