1 On Calvary there stood a Cross,
And nailed thereon was One
Who was the bearer of my sin,
God’s well-beloved Son.

Oh, the blood of the Lamb!
Oh, the blood of the Lamb!
That was shed on Calvary!
It was shed for you,
It was shed for me,
When He died upon the tree.

2 There the Redeemer gave His blood
To ransom me from sin,
And made an end of all my guilt,
And brought redemption in. [Refrain]

3 Upon that Cross, that bitter Cross,
My weight of guilt He bore,
Secured a clearance for my sins;
My soul can ask no more. [Refrain]

4 Before that Cross I weep and pray,
And worship and adore,
And God’s free grace I will extol
