"IRA LEE WINTERROWD was born September 14, 1884. Reared on the farm, near Ennis, Texas. To his Christian parents he is indebted for the influence of a good home and the training which moulded his young life. At the age of 17 he obeyed the gospel and soon became the song director of the congregation. He attended the public school till 19, and then completed the High School course in two years. That he might be better prepared for usefulness he attended the Gunter Bible College for one year, and then entered Nashville Bible School, where he graduated in 1909, having been a student there for two years.
