Representative Text

1 When my Father’s work needs willing hearts and hands,
When His labor calls or duty waiting stands,
I will ready be, I will let Him see,
That for earnest effort He may count on me.

He may count on me,
He may always count on me,
And with eager zest I’ll do my best,
He may count on me.

2 To my Father’s house rejoicing I will go,
And the well-loved way to others I will show,
That we all may be one community,
Saying “when I’m needed He may count on me.”

He may count on me,
He may surely count on me,
New recruits I’ll bring to serve my King,
He may count on me.

3 For my Father’s tasks new effort I will make,
Better work I’ll do, new courage I will take,
Day by day He’ll see greater loyalty,
He will know that safely He may count on me.

He may count on me,
He may safely count on me,
With a fervor true my part I’ll do,
He may count on me.

4 In my Father’s name I’ll strive with all my might,
To be leal and true and loyal to the right;
And in each decree, whatsoe’er it be,
He will know that truly He may count on me.

He may count on me,
He may truly count on me,
I will take my stand at His command,
He may count on me.
