Representative Text

1 When I was lost in the darkness of sin,
Jesus redeemed me,
Jesus redeemed me;
Into His fold I at last entered in,
Jesus redeemed me from sin.

Refrain:
Jesus redeemed me, O blest be His name!
Jesus received me when to Him I came;
Now and forever His goodness proclaim,
Jesus redeemed me from sin.

2 When I was guilty and ruined and lost,
Jesus redeemed me,
Jesus redeemed me;
Oft I recall what my pardon hath cost,—
Jesus redeemed me from sin. [Refrain]

3 Tho’ I was helpless, unworthy and vile,
Jesus redeemed me,
Jesus redeemed me;
Daily I dwell in the light of His smile,
Jesus redeemed me from sin. [Refrain]

4 Infinite, wonderful, fathomless love!
Jesus redeemed me,
Jesus redeemed me;
For me He waits in the mansions above,
Jesus redeemed me from sin. [Refrain]
