Is flying through the air,
It hides the flowers, makes the hours
Seem very dark and drear.

Then send you light, O sunshine bright,
And fill our hearts with cheer;
To do His will, and thus fulfill
Our earthly mission here.

2 But when the light of sunshine bright
Comes out again in view,
Its warmth to let, then we forget
The dreariness we knew. [Refrain]

3 O sunshine sweet, your rays we greet,
After the winter snow;
