Easter Bells

Representative Text

1 Welcome, day of resurrection,
Thy triumph we will sing,
And the bells a grateful tribute
Of praise to thee shall bring.

Refrain:
Yes, the merry bells are chiming,
The sweet-toned Easter bells;
Christ is risen, He is risen,
Their joyous chorus tells.

2 ‘Tis a theme that justly claimeth,
A carol glad and strong,
And the merry bells shall echo,
The measure of our song. [Refrain]

3 Welcome, day of hope and promise,
All hail, exultant King!
Bells and voices sweetly joining,
Thy worthy honor ring. [Refrain]
