My Trusting Heart Rejoices

Representative Text

1 Tho' these eyes see not the Master,
Still b y faith I know Him near;
These dull ears may listen vainly,
But my soul His voice can hear.

Refrain:
How my trusting heart rejoices
In the consciousness so dear,
That wherever life may lead me
One I love is always near!
How my trusting heart rejoices
In the consciousness so dear,
That to bless, to save and keep me,
He is near!

2 I can nevermore be lonely,
Tho' all other friends depart,
Ever present, still He lingers,
Cheering, comforting my heart. [Refrain]

3 Life to me is sweet and blessed
As with Him I journey on,
Tow'rd the hour of Heaven's day-break,
When the shadows will be gone [Refrain]

4 He is with me, always with me,
Loving Saviour, precious Friend!
He will never, never leave me,
Will be with me to the end! [Refrain]
