2 But softer than the summer’s breath,
And fairer than its roses,
Will be the clime afar, when death
The pearly gate uncloses;

3 The land where broken ties shall twine,
And fond hearts will not sever,
Where love’s pure light shall brighter shine,
Forever and forever!
