In kindness said

Representative Text

1 Sometime when you were in trouble,
And your spirit seemed like lead,
Was it yours to feel the magic
Of a word in kindness said?

Refrain:
In kindness said,
In kindness said,
Say, was it yours to feel the magic
Of a word in kindness said?

2 When some aching heart was heavy,
And the tears were freely shed,
Did you try to give it comfort
By a word in kindness said? [Refrain]

3 Sometime vexed beyond endurance,
All your stock of patience fled,
Have you proved the helpful mission
Of a word in kindness said? [Refrain]

4 There will many chances offer,
Wheresoever we may tread,
And we should always improve them,
By a word in kindness said. [Refrain]
