Pace soon gained a love and appreciation for music that characterized the remainder of his life. He sang bass for seventeen years as a member of the Vaughan Radio Quartet, singing over WOAN--one of the South's first radio stations. Arthur B. Sebren, was born August 15, 1879 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. He was the third of twelve children born to Richard Henry and Sarah Jane Roe Sebren. Arthur was a vocalist, teacher, and composer and was the brother of George Washington Sebren who himself was a well-known singer, composer and publisher. Beginning in 1925, Arthur was the baritone in the Vaughan Happy Two along with tenor Cullie G. Wilson. The popular duo traveled throughout the United States and recorded under both the Vaughan and Victor labels.
