Agora Estou Contente

Representative Text

1 Riquezas não preciso ter,
Mas, sim, celeste bem;
Nem falsa paz ou vão prazer,
Porquanto o crente tem
Eterno gozo no Senhor,
Por desfrutar Seu grande amor.

Refrain:
Com Cristo estou contente:
Ele me satisfaz;
Com este amor do Salvador
Agora estou contente. (bis)

2 Do mundo as honras para mim
Perderam seu valor,
Até que ao meu Senhor, enfim,
O mundo der louvor.
Então terei prazer real
Ao vê-lO em glória triunfal.

3 A comunhão da Sua cruz
Não ouso recusar,
Mas gozo comunhão na luz,
Por graça singular,
Com os que, em Jesus Cristo, são
Dum mesmo amor e coração.

4 Até que chegue lá no céu,
Aonde Cristo entrou,
E veja a face já sem véu
De Quem me resgatou,
Desejo sempre aqui viver
Dum modo que Lhe dê prazer
