Ring the Easter Bells

Representative Text

1 Ring out the happy Easter bells,
For Christ is risen today;
Proclaim the tidings far and wide,
And raise the joyful lay.

Refrain:
Ring the happy Easter bells,
Ring the bells;
Ring the happy Easter bells,
Ring the bells;
Ring the happy Easter bells,
Ring the bells;
Ring the happy Easter bells.

2 Ring out the happy Easter bells,
Redemption’s work is done;
The victory o’er death and sin,
Forevermore is won. [Refrain]

3 Ring out the happy Easter bells,
Shake off the gloom of night,
And rise with Jesus this glad day,
Into the Easter light. [Refrain]

4 Then let us with glad heart and voice
Our loudest praises sing,
To Him, the Savior of the world,
The blessed risen King. [Refrain]
