Roland Rudolph Porter born in Arkansas, died in Missouri. He was a preacher in Churches of Christ in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. He is the author of at least four hymnals: Crowning Praise, No. 2 (1941), Favorite Songs of the Church (1948), Church Praises (1952), and Singing His Praises (1957).
