Mother Dear Is Waiting There

Representative Text

1. In a home beyond the river,
By the shining crystal sea,
With all trials past forever,
Darling Mother waits for me.

Refrain

Waiting there with her Redeemer,
Oh, so happy and so fair;
Singing with the saints in glory,
Mother dear is waiting there.

2. When at last, my soul’s true lover
Tells me it is time to go,
Angels fair will bear me over
To my mother dear, I know.

Refrain

3. If your mother’s over yonder,
Trust in Jesus while you may,
And when hearts shall all grow fonder,
You shall meet again some day.

Refrain
