Pastorates at Westerly, R.I., 1837-1843; Stonington, Conn., 1843-1852; First Baptist Church, Syracuse, New York, 1852-1855; Birdgeport, Conn., 1855-1858; Wakefield, R.I., 1858-1861; Stonington, 1861-1891. Published Psalms of Faith and Songs of Life (1884). Author of "If there's a time completely blest" in Select Hymns, Lindsley and Davis publishers, 1836. Translated Latin hymn of Musculus entitled "The Dying Christian to his Soul." Poet John G.
