Be Thy glorious Name adored;

Hail, celestial Goodness, hail!

2 Though unworthy, Lord, Thine ear
Deign our humble songs to hear;
Purer praise we hope to bring,
When around Thy throne we sing.

3 There no tongue shall silent be,
All shall join in harmony;
That through heav'n's capacious round
Praise to Thee may ever sound.

Williams, Benjamin, 1725-1795. Presbyterian minister at Salisbury, who in addition to a volume of Sermons, 1770, and the Salisbury Hymn Book, 1778, published The Book of Psalms as translated, paraphrased or imitated by some of the most eminent English poets, &c. Salisbury, 1781.
