Heavenly Father as We Bow

1 Heavenly Father as we bow before Thee,
Look on Thy children
In pity and love;
Send us Thy blessing,
Grant Thy forgiveness;
Raise our affections
To glories above.

2 Show us Thy presence that we may behold Thee,
In all the sweetness
Of Thy saving pow’r;
Help us in trial;
Heal our afflictions;
Lighten the darkness
Of sorrow’s lone hour.

3 When comes the dreary day of earthly parting,
When swift the surges
And strong billows roar;
Lead us through darkness,
Guide us safe onward,
Onward to Heav’ns portal,
Safe evermore.

She was liv­ing in Clar­idon, Ohio, in 1880, & Geau­ga Coun­ty, Ohio, in 1900, 1910, & 1920.
