Meu Jesus

Representative Text

1 Do meu terno Salvador
Cantarei tão grande amor,
Já que gozo do favor de Jesus.
Do pecado me tirou;
Das cadeias me livrou;
Sim, da morte me salvou meu Jesus.

Refrain:
Meu Jesus! Ó meu Jesus!
Quão precioso é esse nome de "JESUS"!
Na miséria me buscou,
Com Seu sangue me lavou,
Com Seu gozo me dotou meu Jesus!

2 Da terrível situação
De pecado e aflição
Já me deu a salvação meu Jesus.
O perdão real me deu,
Com Seu braço me valeu,
Por amor de mim sofreu meu Jesus.

3 Viu-me errante a caminhar,
Longe do paterno lar
E me veio procurar meu Jesus.
Hoje, em vez de mais fugir,
Quero com os Seus seguir
E a proteção sentir de Jesus.

In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries. Go to person page >
