1 ஆசீர்வாத ஜீவ ஊற்றே,
எந்தன் நெஞ்சம் பூரிக்க,
வாரும் தாரும் என்றும் கேளும்
எந்தன் மகிழ் கீதமே,
உம் ஆனந்த பாடல் கற்பியும்,
விண்ணின் தூதர் போலவே,
கன்மலைமேல் கண்ணை வைத்தேன்
மீட்பின் மெய் மா அன்பிதே.

2 எந்தன் உள்ளம் துக்கித்தாலும்
மாம்சம் பாவம் நீக்கியே,
நீரே தாரும் பாக்ய ஆசீர்
இன்றே நான் துவங்கினேன்,
தேவனே நீர் எபிநேசர்,
உம்மால்தானே இங்குள்ளேன்,
நம்பி நானும் உமதன்பால்
வீடடைவேன் முடிவில்.

3 இயேசுவே நீர் என்னை கண்டீர்
திக்கற்றோனாய் திரிந்தேன்,
நீரே என்னை தீங்கு நாளில்
இரத்தம் சிந்தி மீட்டீரே,
உம் தயவு என்றும் என்னை,
இரட்சித்தென்னை காத்ததே,
மாளும் மானிடன் நான் என்ன
சொல்ல கூடும் என்நாவால்.

4 உம் கிருபையின் கடன் என் மேல்
சேர்ந்தே அனுதினம், நல் ஆண்டவா
கட்டி வையும் சிதரும் என் நெஞ்சத்தை,
விட்டோடுமே, எந்தன் ஆன்மா,
உம்மையே என் நேசரே,
இதோ தந்தேன் எந்தன் உள்ளம்,
பூட்டி வையும் உம்மிடம்.

5 பாவம் செய்ய இயலா நாள்
உம்முகம் நான் காண்பேனே,
இரத்தத்தாலே தோய்த்த அங்கி
அணிந்தும்மை பாடுவேன்,
வாருமே என் ஆண்டவரே,
தந்தேன் எந்தன் ஆன்மமே,
உந்தன் தூதர் அனுப்பிடும்
நித்ய எல்லை சேர்க்கவே.

Robert Robinson was born at Swaffham, Norfolk, in 1735. In 1749, he was apprenticed to a hairdresser, in Crutched Friars, London. Hearing a discourse preached by Whitefield on "The Wrath to Come," in 1752, he was deeply impressed, and after a period of much disquietude, he gave himself to a religious life. His own peculiar account of this change of life is as follows:--"Robertus Michaelis Marineque Robinson filius. Natus Swaffhami, comitatu Norfolciae, Saturni die Sept. 27, 1735. Renatus Sabbati die, Maii 24, 1752, per predicationem potentem Georgii Whitefield. Born: Ju­ly 12, 1960, Dan­ish Mis­sion Hos­pi­tal, Ti­ru­ko­vi­lur, Ta­mil Na­du, In­dia. A fourth-ge­ne­ra­tion Christ­ian, Ba­ra­thi is the son of E. Soun­da­ra­ra­jan (1932–1997), a Pres­by­ter­ian pas­tor in Chen­nai for 47 years, and Ru­by Vi­ru­tham­bal, and hus­band of Eve­lyn Pris­cil­la Va­san­thi. In 1986, he earned a Ba­che­lor of Arts in psy­cho­lo­gy (and passed Grade VIII Class­ic­al Gui­tar, Tri­ni­ty Col­lege Ex­ams at the Chen­nai Lo­cal Cen­ter). In 1989, he comp­let­ed a Ba­che­lor of Arts in Church Mu­sic from the As­ian In­sti­tute for Li­tur­gy and Mu­sic in Ma­ni­la, Phil­ip­pines.
