J. William Greene, Organist-Choirmaster at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lynchburg, Virginia, holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree and Performers Certificate from the Eastman School of Music. He studied harpsichord in The Netherlands with Gustav Leonhardt under an ITT International Fellowship. An active composer, Dr. Greene has more than 150 choral and organ compositions in print in the catalogs of CanticaNOVA, GIA, Paraclete Press, St. James Music Press, Concordia Publishing House, and Fred Bock/Emerson Music/National Music Publishers. A member of the American Society of Composers, Arrangers, and Publishers, he has received seven ASCAP+ Awards for his publications.
