Johann Heinrich Calisius

Johann Heinrich Calisius was born in 1633 in Wohlau in Silesia [modern Wołów, Poland]. He was an archdeakon at Göppingen, court preacher to the Limpurg family, and later became a senior church official at Sulzbach [am Kocher] as well. He held a Licentiate in the Theology. He died in 1698 at the age of 65. He wrote Andächtige Hauskirche (Nuremberg, 1676), which contains 77 sacred songs.
