Austin Taylor Hymnbook Collection: The nucleus of the collection was a 451-book collection given by the Austin Taylor children. To this have been added hymnals of the Restoration Movement, particularly the paperback American revival hymnals and a wide selection of materials representing the full spectrum of modern global Christianity. Collection includes full or mostly-full sets of the hymnals published by the major firms associated with the Stone-Campbell Movement, such as Firm Foundation Publishing Company (Austin, TX) Gospel Advocate Publishing Company (Nashville, TN), Fillmore Brothers (Cincinnati, OH), Standard Publishing Company (Cincinnati, OH), Christian Board of Publication (St. Louis, MO), Trio Music Company and Quartet Music Company (Fort Worth, TX), as well as by several prominent individuals, such as Austin Taylor, Tillit S. Teddlie, Will W. Slater, E. L. Jorgenson and Alexander Campbell. All catalog records available on WorldCat. Callie Faye Milliken Special Collections also has twenty-six original song manuscripts with accompanying explanatory notes and words of Texas composer and publisher Tillit S. Teddlie (1885–1987).

Date range: 18th c.-present.
