1 O, the fount of truth and grace found in loving, If within the bonds of peace, we are living! Without love we cannot live; This is truthful, love should make life fruitful. 2 Without love the burden great on our shoulder Would our weak and feeble state crush and smoulder; But in love it groweth light, And we offer still to toil and suffer. 3 Those who unto Christ the Lord do surrender All their mind and thought and word in love tender Shall, by faith and love impelled, Boldly journey on the narrow pathway. 4 Thus with grace our soul and mind is inspired; In our labor joy we find as desired, Meeting kindred minded souls Is reviving, humbling and enliv’ning.
