75. Waiting On God

1 Waiting on God for His blessing to-day,
Quietly waiting for power and grace;
Grant us the showers of mercy we pray,
grant us a glimpse of Thy glorified face.

Chorus;
Waiting on God at the hour of pray'r
Blessing and power He gives to us there;
Strength is renewed by His Presence Divine,
Light from the thrones on our pathway doth shine.

2 Waiting on God as His servant should wait,
Taking from Him what His grace has prepared;
'Tis His command that we sit at His gate,
We are the servants and He is or Lord. [Chorus]

3 Waiting on God, oh, what moments of bliss,
Hearing His voice as He tells of His love;
Resting in peace in the thought we are His,
Tasting the pleasures of glory above. [Chorus]

4 Waiting on God, then His word to obey,
What He commands we with pleasure will do;
Filled with His pow'r for the work of each day,
Knowing full well He our strength will renew. [Chorus]
