لم يزَلْ بالبابِ واقفْ
لم يزَلْ يقرعُ قلبَكْ
جُرحُهُ بالحبِّ نازفْ
وهو يستأهِلُ حبَّكْ

1) لا تعُدْ دونَ المسيحِ
املأنْ منه يديكَ
خذهُ كالصدرِ المريحِ
لا تدَعْ حِملاً عليكَ

2) لا تقسِّ القلبَ واسمعْ
ما الذي عندك تخسَرْ
إن أشار الربُّ فاتبعْ
إنَّ ما ترْبَحُ أكثرْ

3) افتحِ القلبَ ليدخلْ
واطلبِ الروحَ المعزي
كلُّ ضعفٍ فيه يُكمَلْ
فحياةُ الروحِ تجزِي

4) هوذا اليومَ خلاصُ
رُبَّمَا آخرُ فرصهْ
لُذْ بِهِ فهوَ المناصُ
خذْ منَ الرحمةِ حِصَّة
