1 How blest are they whose trespass
Has freely been forgiv'n,
Whose sins are wholly covered
Before the sight of heav'n.
Blest they to whom the LORD God
Does not impute their sin,
Who have a guileless spirit,
Whose heart is true within.

2 While I kept guilty silence,
My strength was spent with grief:
Your hand was heavy on me;
My soul found no relief.
But when I owned my trespass
And did not hide my sin,
Then you forgave my guilt, LORD,
Restored my life within.

3 The sorrows of the wicked
Increase from year to year,
But those that trust the LORD God
Know love instead of fear.
Then in the LORD be joyful,
In song lift up your voice;
Be glad in God, you righteous:
Rejoice, O saints, rejoice!

1 Es bienaventurado
aquel que recibió
perdón de su pecado
tan vil que cometió;
feliz a quien no acusa
Jehová de rebelión,
que la verdad no rehusa
jamás su corazón.

2 Y, mientras yo callaba,
mi culpa me angustió;
tu mano se agravaba
en mi alma que gimió.
Mas cuando arrepentido,
mis culpas confesé,
de ti he recibido
perdón y me gocé.

3 De penas turbadoras
mi alma librarás;
con notas salvadoras,
Señor, me infundirás.
Los justos en tu nombre,
se regocijarán;
con cantos de renombre
tus glorias cantarán.
