1 Still there are many who stumble in sin;
Lost in the gloom of night.
Jesus is longing these wand’rers to win,
Turn on the gospel light.

Chorus:
Turn on the light,
Turn on the light,
Make all their pathway bright;
Show them the way
To Jesus today,
Haste, ere it be too late.

2 Far on the highways and byways they roam,
By fierce temptation tost.
Haste thee, O Christian, constrain them to come,
Let not these souls be lost. [Chorus]

3 Leave them no longer to wander away,
Out in the storm and cold;
Go for the lost ones—O lead them today
Back to the Shepherd’s fold! [Chorus]

4 Groping in blindness, in darkness and woe;
How can you longer wait?
Forth to the rescue! to lighten them go!
Haste, ere it be too late! [Chorus]
