Why He is so dear to me?
‘Tis because my blessed Jesus
From my sin has ransomed me.

Refrain:
This is why I love my Jesus,
This is why I love him so,
He atoned for my transgressions,
He has washed me white as snow.

Why He is so dear to me?
‘Tis because the blood of Jesus
Fully saves and cleanses me. [Refrain]

3 Would you know why I love Jesus?
Why He is so dear to me?
‘Tis because, amid temptation,
He supports and strengthens me. [Refrain]

4 Would you know why I love Jesus?
Why He is so dear to me?
‘Tis because, in ev’ry conflict,
Jesus gives me victory. [Refrain]

‘Tis because my Friend and Saviour
He will ever, ever be. [Refrain]
