1 Now the Saviour standeth pleading
At the sinner's bolted heart;
Now in heaven He's interceding,
Taking there the sinner's part.
2 Sinner! can you hate this Saviour?
Will you thrust him from your arms?
Once He died through your behavior,
Now He calls you by His charms.
3 Sinner! hear your God and Saviour,
Hear His gracious voice to-day,
Turn from all your vain behavior;
O repent, return and pray!
4 Now He's waiting to be gracious,
Now He stands and looks on thee;
See what kindness, love, and pity,
Shine around on you and me
5 Come, for all things now are ready,
Yet there's room for many more:
O ye blind, ye lame and needy,
Come to wisdom's boundless store.
