CCXLIV. Sonship secure in Christ

1 From precept and demand,
Free from all sin and fear,
Our sonship shall in Jesus stand,
Without our toil or care.

2 None but the Son, so blest,
can God as Father own;
Until we are the Son confest,
The Father is unknown.

3 O the amazing grace
We have in Jesus seen!
The glory of the Father's face,
Without a veil between.

4 Now, perfected in God,
His richest grace we prove,
The way to which is Jesus' blood,
The proof supreme of love.
