CXXXI. O LORD, I am not proud of Heart

1 O LORD, I am not proud of Heart,
Nor do I cast a scornful Eye;
And my aspiring Thoughts. I ne'er
Employ in Things for me to high.

2 With infant Innocence, thou know'st
I always have my self demean'd;
Compos'd to Quiet, like a Babe,
That from it's Mother's Breast is wean'd.

3 Like me, let Israel hope in GOD,
Let them his Aid alone implore;
Both now and ever trust in him,
Who lives and reigns for evermore.
