1 Jesus lives! no longer now
Can thy terrors, Death, appall me;
Jesus lives! and well I know,
From the dead he will recall me;

2 Jesus lives! to him the throne
Over all the world is given;

3 Jesus lives! hence is death
Entrance into life immortal;

Fearless tread the frowning portal;
