1 The cheery robin sings, “Be glad!”
His joyous messages: “Be glad!”
O catch his thought today! “Be glad!”
And join his merry, helpful lay.

Chorus:
“Be glad!” O hear the robin’s song!
“Be glad!” Its cheery note prolong!
“Be glad!” Send forth a song of cheer
For God is love, and he is near.

2 The sun is on his wing, “Be glad!”
O hear him gaily sing, “Be glad!”
The rain is falling ‘round: “Be glad!”
And still the robin’s song is found. [Chorus]

3 In sunshine or in rain “Be glad!”
In comfort or in pain “Be glad!”
God’s love is strong and true: “Be glad!”
Be thankful for his care of you. [Chorus]
