84. With my whole heart I've sought your face

With my whole heart I've sought your face,
O let me never stray
from your commands, O God of grace,
nor tread the sinner's way!
I've hid your word within my heart,
to keep my conscience clean;
God, be an everlasting guard
from every rising sin.

My soul, with sacred reverence, needs
the guidance of your word;
my heart, with holy yearning, heeds
the judgments of my Lord.
My God, I long, I hope, I wait
for your salvation still;
your holy law is my delight;
help me obey your will.
