61. He Is With Me

1 I am not afraid to go with Christ, my Lord,
Wherever He may lead the way,
I am not afraid to trust His precious Word
That turn’d my darkness into day.

Refrain:
He is with me ev’ry day,
From the dawn ‘til the setting sun,
He’ll go with me all the way,
‘Til my journey here is done.

2 I am clinging to the cross where Jesus died,
The rugged cross of Calvary,
I will never leave the blessed wounded side
Of Him who gave His life for me. [Refrain]

3 I can never understand, while here below,
How Jesus did my heart renew,
None can ever tell me why He lov’d me so,
I only know that it is true. [Refrain]
