76. My Indian Territory home

1 In our own sunny land,
On Columbia's strand,
Where the mildest balmy breezes gently blow;
In our loved Southern clime
With its future sublime,
Find our happy Indian Territory home.

Chorus:
Of our homes we will sing,
Gladdest carols shall ring;
O'er the flowered hills and valleys we will roam;
Come and see where we live,
And a welcome we'll give
At our happy Indian Territory home.

2 'Tis a land rich in soil,
Where there's coal and there's oil,
Mines of iron, silver, asphalt, lead, and gold;
There are prairies of green,
Where the cattle are seen,
Round our happy Indian Territory home. [Chorus]

3 There are mountains and hills,
There are fountains and rills,
And the spring and summer flowers sweetly bloom;
Songs of sweet-singing birds
In the woodlands are heard,
At our happy Indian Territory home. [Chorus]

4 Springing up here and there,
Towns are seen ev'rywhere,
There are railroads, fact'ries, mills, and yet there's room;
And our fruit is the best,
You can eat it with zest,
At our happy Indian Territory home. [Chorus]
