8745. The Love Of God Be With Us

1 Once more we’ve heard the word divine,
Have sung our songs devout;
May He who blessed our coming in,
Now bless our going out.

Refrain:
Oh may the heav’nly Father’s love,
The grace of God the Son,
The Holy Spirit’s fellowship
Be with us every one.

2 As were the mountains round about
Jerusalem of old,
So may His benediction dear
Our earthly lives enfold. [Refrain]

3 And when at last the evening comes
With life’s expiring breath,
Oh, may this blessing go with us
Down thro’ the vale of death. [Refrain]
