8202. The Angel's Message

1 Angel messenger sent earthward,
Angel host attendant came;
Angel choir and angel carol,
Angel message to proclaim.

Refrain:
"Fear ye not! behold, I bring you
These good tidings of great joy."
"Gloria in excelsis Deo,"
The angelic song employ.

2 Unto you is born a Savior,
Unto us a Son is giv’n;
Angels catch the angel message,
Angels voice that theme to Heav’n. [Refrain]

3 Shepherds hear the angel message,
As they watch upon the plain;
With supernal light illumined,
And they heard the sweet refrain: [Refrain]

4 Angels and archangels hymning,
Lo, the hills reverberate—
Angel message to us bringing,
God the Son is incarnate. [Refrain]
