17102. A Land Beyond the Valley

1. There’s a land beyond the valley
That is fairer than the day,
Where are flowers ever blooming,
Joys that never pass away;
Where the tree of life is bearing
Leaves that heal our pain and care,
And our Savior is preparing
For us mansions over there.

Refrain

Over there beyond the valley,
Just beyond the deep, dark valley;
There’s a land beyond the valley
That is fairer than the day.

2. We shall sing beyond the valley,
And our weeping will be o’er;
We shall raise our hallelujahs
To the Savior we adore;
Robed in white and crowned with glory
We shall mingle with the blest,
And forget the weary journey
When we enter into rest.

Refrain

3. Till we pass beyond the valley
We will toil and pray and sing;
And the dearest of our treasures
To our Savior we will bring;
We will tell abroad the tidings
Of the land beyond the vale
Where the joys abide forever
And the blessings never fail.

Refrain
