17015. A Noble Life

1. A noble life, a simple faith,
An open heart and hand,
These are the lovely litanies
Which all men understand.

2. These are the firm-knit bonds of grace,
Though hidden to the view,
Which bind in sacred brotherhood
All men the whole world through.

3. The cries of clashing creeds are heard,
On every side they sound,
But no age is degenerate
In which such lives are found.

4. A noble life, a simple faith,
An open heart and hand,
These are the lovely litanies
Which all men understand.
