16904. Come, Drink Of The Water

1 Oh, wondrous words that Jesus spake
To thirsty souls, a sweet refrain;
"Who drinks the draught that I shall give,
Shall never thirst again."

Refrain:
Come, drink of the water,
Come drink of the water of life;
Who drinks of the water that Christ shall give
Shall nevermore thirst, but evermore live;
Come drink of the water of life.

2 Wondrous the words, more wondrous still
That promise doth for us remain,
And we may of the water drink,
And never thirst again. [Refrain]

3 Ye souls athirst for life and peace,
Let not this message come in vain;
But quickly take the cleansing draught,
And never thirst again. [Refrain]
