1 Hear and heed the call of Christ today,
He has need of soldiers for the fray;
In the front He has a place for you;
Soldiers of Jesus, be steadfast and true!

Refrain:
Soldiers of Jesus, make no delay!
Hark, He is calling, calling today!
Forward then, O speed you;
Follow where He leads you;
Soldiers of Jesus, be steadfast and true!

2 Though the hosts of Satan may assail,
Trust in Christ—in Him you shall prevail.
He who leads you will your strength renew;
Soldiers of Jesus, be steadfast and true! [Refrain]

3 Forward, then, O soldiers of the King!
Let your songs of triumph gladly ring;
Never falter, every duty do;
Soldiers of Jesus, be steadfast and true! [Refrain]
