With nu­mer­ous wants op­pressed,
How wel­come must the har­bor be,
Of safe­ty and of rest!

2 Such is the world of bliss to those,
Who shall an en­trance find;
There storms and tem­pests, fears and foes,
No more dis­tress the mind.

3 There saints, nor sin nor sor­row know,
But taste un­min­gled love;
All that they wished or hoped below,
They now en­joy above.
