1 Jesus loves children, the Bible says so;
He will be with them wherever they go,
Shield them from harm thro’ the darkness of night,
Guide them and help them all day to do right.

Refrain:
Shout the glad news to each one you meet,
Jesus loves even the waifs of the street.

2 Suffer the children to come unto Me,
Those words He spoke beside blue Galilee;
Not the rich only, His sweet message greets,
Jesus loves even the waifs of the streets. [Refrain]

3 Ragged and tattered and hungry, the waif
May to the Savior repair and be safe;
Christ once was friendless and hungry and poor,
That’s why He pities the waifs at the door. [Refrain]
