452. Command Your Blessing from Above

1 Command your blessing from above,
O God, on all assembled here;
behold us with your tender love
while we your holy name revere.

2 Command your blessing, Jesus, Lord;
may we your true disciples be.
Speak to each heart your mighty word;
say to the weakest, "Follow me."

3 Command your blessing in this hour,
Spirit of truth, and fill this place
with humbling and with healing power,
with quickening and confirming grace.

4 You are our maker, saviour, guide,
one true eternal God confessed;
may naught in life or death divide
the saints in your communion blest.
